This recipe combines the goodness of bok choy with succulent shrimp and aromatic garlic, making it a delicious and nutritious meal that’s quick to prepare.
Main Ingredients- 500g Bok Choy (washed thoroughly)
- 1 handful Cocktail Shrimp (thawed and rinsed)
- 1 stalk Scallion (chopped)
- 2 Red Cheongyang Peppers (seeds removed and chopped)

Step 1
Let’s start by making the all-in-one sauce that will bring out the delicious flavors of the bok choy stir-fry. In a bowl, combine 1 Tbsp cornstarch, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 Tbsp sugar, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well until there are no lumps. Preparing the sauce this way will significantly speed up your cooking time.

Next, prepare the vegetables. Chop 1 stalk of scallion and finely chop the 2 red Cheongyang peppers after removing their seeds. Feel free to adjust the amount of chili peppers if you prefer it spicier.

We’ll briefly blanch the bok choy in boiling water. To maintain its crisp texture, don’t overcook it; blanch for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Keeping it crunchy is key!

Immediately after blanching, rinse the bok choy under cold water to cool it down. This step helps to preserve the vibrant green color of the bok choy and ensure its crispness.
