  • 1 ripe banana
  • 60g frozen blueberries
  • 150ml milk

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

It’s best to use frozen blueberries for this smoothie as they help create a wonderfully thick and cold consistency without needing ice. If you have fresh blueberries, wash them and freeze them beforehand. For the banana, placing it in the refrigerator with the peel on can make it easier to peel later.

Step 2

Take the refrigerated banana and peel it. If the peel is still difficult to remove after sitting at room temperature for a bit, you can carefully score the peel with the back of a knife or a paring knife to easily slip it off. For future convenience, consider peeling and freezing bananas ahead of time.

Step 3

Add the peeled banana and the frozen blueberries (60g) to your blender. Pour in 100ml of milk to start. This initial amount of liquid helps the ingredients blend smoothly.

Step 4

Blending with just these initial ingredients will result in a very thick smoothie. If you find it too dense to drink with a straw, add an additional 50ml of milk and blend again until smooth. Feel free to adjust the milk quantity to reach your desired consistency.

Step 5

The smoothie should now have a perfect pouring consistency. The ideal thickness is really up to your personal preference! If you enjoy a thicker, yogurt-like smoothie, you can add a spoonful of plain yogurt or Greek yogurt and blend it in.

Step 6

Pour your beautifully blended smoothie into a glass. Garnish with a few extra blueberries and a sprig of fresh mint for a delightful presentation. You’ve now created a delicious and refreshing fruit smoothie, bursting with natural sweetness and flavor, all without any ice! Enjoy every sip!
