Pizza Ingredients
- 2 Tortillas (choose size according to your preference)
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded, melts well)
- 3-4 Cherry tomatoes (or 1/4 regular tomato, sliced)
- 1 Tbsp Basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
- A few fresh basil leaves (optional, for extra flavor!)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash and prepare the tomatoes. If you’re using a regular tomato, slice it thinly. For cherry tomatoes, remove the stems and cut them in half; this makes them easier to eat and look more appealing.
Step 2
Place one tortilla on an oven-safe pan or pizza pan. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese evenly over it. A generous amount of cheese makes it even tastier!
Step 3
Now, cover with the second tortilla. Spread the prepared basil pesto evenly over the top tortilla. After spreading the pesto, sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese as desired, and arrange the sliced or halved tomatoes attractively on top.
Step 4
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 8 minutes. Adjust the baking time according to your oven’s specifications. The pizza is ready when the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted. (If using an air fryer, bake at 180°C / 350°F for 5-7 minutes.)
Step 5
Finally, if you have fresh basil leaves, tear them with your hands and sprinkle them over the pizza for garnish. The unique aroma of fresh basil will enhance the overall flavor. It’s best enjoyed warm right away. Enjoy your delicious pizza!
