Not too salty and wonderfully delicious: Baked Brie Cheese Recipe
Brie cheese, known for its deep, creamy flavor, is a favorite among many, often hailed as the ‘Queen of Cheeses.’ This baked brie recipe is perfect as a sophisticated appetizer, especially when paired with wine. Enjoy a slice of baked brie with your coffee for an instant mood lift, melting away fatigue. The slightly crisp exterior gives way to a warm, luscious interior, complemented by the sweetness of honey and the crunch of nuts.
Ingredients- 1 wheel Brie cheese
- 1 pack mixed nuts (e.g., ‘Haru Kengwa’)
- 1 Tbsp honey
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
A slice of brie cheese with your coffee is a perfect way to unwind, instantly refreshing your spirit. It’s a delightful treat for a relaxing break or a simple yet elegant brunch.
Step 2
We’ll cut the brie into 8 wedges. Using a cheese knife, score the top of the brie, but don’t cut all the way through. This scoring allows the honey to penetrate the cheese more effectively, ensuring a harmonious flavor throughout. You can also gently poke the cheese with a fork to help the honey absorb better.
Step 3
Prepare the mixed nuts by roughly chopping them. You can use a knife or a food processor. Aim for a coarser chop rather than a fine powder to maintain a pleasant textural contrast in the final dish.
Step 4
You can bake this brie in an air fryer, oven, or even a frying pan – any method works wonderfully. For this recipe, I’ll be using a frying pan over medium-low heat. Cooking it gently over low heat prevents the cheese from burning and ensures it melts beautifully on the inside.
Step 5
Bake until the brie is soft and yielding to the touch. Be careful not to overbake, as the cheese can become too runny. Once lightly baked, generously sprinkle the chopped nuts over the warm brie, followed by a drizzle of sweet honey. Your delicious baked brie is now ready to be enjoyed!
