Seasoning Sauce Ingredients- 50ml soy sauce
- 50ml water
- A little minced garlic
- A little chopped green onion
- A pinch of black pepper
- A little sugar
- A little sesame oil or perilla oil
- A pinch of sesame seeds
- 50ml soy sauce
- 50ml water
- A little minced garlic
- A little chopped green onion
- A pinch of black pepper
- A little sugar
- A little sesame oil or perilla oil
- A pinch of sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare a pot or pan to cook the rice in the rice cooker. Heat the chopped green onion in the pan over medium-low heat to release its fragrant oil. Once the green onion aroma is prominent, add the chopped bacon and stir-fry with a little cooking wine (optional), black pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
Step 2
Add the pre-washed 2 cups of rice to the pan with the bacon and stir-fry for about 5 minutes. Continue stir-frying until the rice grains become slightly translucent and a nutty aroma emerges, which will enhance the flavor of the cooked rice.
Step 3
Transfer the stir-fried rice mixture to the rice cooker. Add 2 cups of water (maintaining a 1:1 ratio of rice to water) and then generously layer the washed bean sprouts on top of the rice. Using a good amount of bean sprouts will ensure a pleasant texture and enhance the overall taste of the dish.
Step 4
Select the ‘white rice’ cooking mode on your rice cooker and start cooking. Once the rice is done, you’ll have a delicious bacon bean sprout rice with a wonderful aroma from the bacon and a refreshing taste from the bean sprouts, glistening with a beautiful sheen.
Step 5
Before mixing, prepare the seasoning sauce by combining 50ml soy sauce, 50ml water, minced garlic, chopped green onion, black pepper, sugar, sesame oil or perilla oil, and sesame seeds. Serve the rice with this sauce, and for an extra treat, top with a fried egg and mix everything together. Enjoy this hearty and delicious meal!
