Baby's Iron-Rich Veggie & Beef Soup

Recipe Info

  • Category : Soup / Broth
  • Ingredient Category : Beef
  • Occasion : Baby food
  • Cooking : Boil / Simmer
  • Servings : 4 servings
  • Cooking Time : Within 30 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Main Ingredients

  • 150g ground beef (rich in iron!)
  • 1/2 onion (for sweetness and flavor)
  • 1/2 carrot (for color and nutrients)
  • 1/2 broccoli (for Vitamin C and fiber)
  • 1 cube beef broth (or baby-safe store-bought broth)

Broth

  • 200ml water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare 150g of ground beef. Lightly grease a pan or wipe it clean with a paper towel. Sauté the beef over low heat until most of the pink color has disappeared. Cooking it thoroughly helps to reduce any gamey smell. Set the cooked beef aside.

Step 1

Step 2

In a pot, combine 200ml of water and 1 cube of broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat. If using store-bought broth, ensure it’s suitable for babies and has a mild flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Dice the onion and carrot into small, bite-sized pieces (about 0.5 cm). For earlier stages of baby food, you can mince them even finer. Add the diced vegetables to the boiling broth and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften. You can cut them into manageable sizes since they will be finely chopped later.

Step 3

Step 4

Once the onion and carrot are tender, it’s time to add the broccoli. Cut the broccoli florets into small pieces. Add the broccoli to the pot and continue to boil briskly for a few more minutes until everything is well-cooked and tender. This delicious vegetable soup is now ready! Feel free to adjust the ingredient amounts to your baby’s preference.
