Main Ingredients- 1 block of Sea Lettuce (cleaned)
- 200g of Soybean Sprouts (1 pack)
- A small amount of Green Onion (finely chopped)
- A small amount of Carrot (finely julienned or minced)
Seasoning Ingredients- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- A little Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- A little Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the soybean sprouts. Boil them in water for about 3-5 minutes until they are crisp-tender. Immediately rinse the boiled sprouts under cold water to cool them down; this helps maintain their crunchy texture.
Step 2
Next, let’s prepare the sea lettuce. Before washing, remove any visible debris. Then, rub the sea lettuce vigorously with your hands under running water. This process helps remove its natural saltiness and any slightly bitter taste. Rinse it thoroughly multiple times until clean.
Step 3
Finely julienne or mince the carrot. Also, finely chop the green onion and garlic. Having all your ingredients prepped and ready will make the cooking process much smoother.
Step 4
Now, let’s make the seasoning. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 Tbsp gochugaru, a little minced garlic, and 1 Tbsp sesame oil. Mix well to create the dressing. Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your preference.
Step 5
Chop the cleaned sea lettuce into bite-sized pieces. It’s important not to squeeze out all the water. Leaving a little moisture in the sea lettuce will help the dressing adhere better when mixed with the soybean sprouts, resulting in a moist and flavorful salad.
Step 6
Add the chopped sea lettuce, the slightly drained soybean sprouts, and the prepared carrot and green onion to the mixing bowl with the seasoning. Gently toss everything together, being careful not to mash the ingredients. This will create a delicious sea lettuce and soybean sprout salad with a fresh aroma and satisfying crunch. Enjoy it with a warm bowl of rice!
