Ingredients

  • 4 Lotus Biscoff cookies
  • Approx. 50g heavy cream
  • 100g milk
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter (or Lotus Biscoff spread)
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 1 double shot of espresso (warm)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the cream that will add a wonderful flavor to your latte. Using a scale or measuring cup, carefully measure out approximately 50g of fresh heavy cream.

Add 2 crushed Lotus Biscoff cookies to the measured heavy cream. It’s nice to crush them to a point where there are still small pieces, rather than making a fine powder, for a pleasant texture.

While Lotus Biscoff spread provides a deeper cookie flavor, we’re using 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter here to add a unique nutty richness. Feel free to substitute with Lotus Biscoff spread or even use a little of both for an extra complex taste.

After combining all the ingredients, use an electric milk frother to whip the mixture until it forms a smooth, creamy consistency. Be careful not to over-whip it into stiff peaks.

The cream doesn’t need to be stiff; aim for a pourable consistency that blends well with the drink and is pleasant to sip. Think of a smooth, flowing texture.

Now, prepare your serving cup and fill it with 5-6 ice cubes to make the latte refreshingly cold. You can adjust the amount of ice based on your preference.

Pour 100g of cold milk into the prepared cup. The milk ratio is key to the latte’s smoothness, so adjust it to achieve your preferred consistency.

Carefully pour the freshly brewed double shot of warm espresso over the milk. The rich aroma and taste of the coffee will blend with the milk, creating a deep flavor profile.

Spoon the prepared sweet and aromatic Lotus cream on top of the espresso and milk. The cream will slowly melt and gently swirl into the coffee.
