Delicious Protein Bread Recipe for Post-Workout or Dieting
Introducing our easy-to-make ‘Protein Bread’ recipe using protein powder! This is especially recommended for those who are reducing carbohydrate intake or looking for healthy snacks. With its satisfyingly chewy texture and mild flavor, topped generously with plain yogurt and granola, it makes for a perfect meal replacement. Try making it simply at home!
Bread Making Ingredients- 80g Protein Powder (choose your favorite flavor)
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 paper cup Soy Milk (approx. 100ml)
- 150g Plain Yogurt
- Granola, as needed (for topping)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine 80g of protein powder and 1/4 tsp of baking powder. Sift the powders or whisk them lightly to break up any clumps. Crack in 2 eggs and mix well until you achieve a smooth batter.
Step 2
Gradually add the soy milk, about 1/2 paper cup (approx. 100ml), in 3-4 additions, mixing as you go to achieve the desired batter consistency. It’s important to add it little by little to avoid making the batter too thin. The consistency should be slightly thicker than pancake batter.
Step 3
Pour the batter into a microwave-safe container or mug. Microwave on high for about 2 minutes. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the bread and your microwave’s power. Insert a skewer; if it comes out clean, the bread is done.
Step 4
Transfer the warm protein bread from the microwave to a nice serving dish. Top generously with 150g of plain yogurt and a sprinkle of granola for a delightful crunch. Your delicious Protein Bread is now ready!
