Make Speedy Sweet Potato Fries in Your Air Fryer (Perfect Diet Snack!)
It’s sweet potato season! I’ve received so many sweet potatoes lately. If you crave sweet potato fries but think it’s too much work, or if you’re cutting out flour for a diet and need a quick snack, let’s make these super-fast sweet potato fries!
Ingredients- 1 medium sweet potato
- A little cooking oil (or olive oil)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wash the sweet potato thoroughly. Then, peel the skin using a vegetable peeler or a knife. Rinse the peeled sweet potato under running water again and pat it dry.

Slice the prepared sweet potato into thin chips, about 0.3 to 0.5 cm thick. Using a vegetable peeler makes it easier to slice uniformly and thinly, and the thinner they are, the crispier they will bake. For a fry-like texture, you can also cut them into long strips or round shapes as desired.
Step 3
Arrange the sliced sweet potato evenly in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. Lightly drizzle cooking oil or olive oil over them. This will help achieve a crispier and glossier finish. Be careful not to use too much oil.
Step 4
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Place the prepared sweet potato slices in the basket and air fry for about 6 to 8 minutes. The cooking time can vary depending on the thickness of the sweet potato and your air fryer’s performance. It’s crucial to check the doneness halfway through (around 4-5 minutes). Since they can burn easily, keep a close eye on the thin slices. Check if they are golden brown; if so, flip them and air fry for another 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.
