Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s start making delicious air fryer roasted myeongran, a perfect snack for any occasion! ♬♪

Step 1

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the myeongran. Using a fork or spoon, gently coat the myeongran with the oil, being careful not to burst the roe sacs. The olive oil will create a protective layer, preventing it from drying out during cooking.

Step 2

Step 3

Feel free to substitute olive oil with canola oil or any other cooking oil you have on hand. I used seasoned myeongran for this recipe, but plain, unseasoned myeongran (baek myeongran) works just as deliciously, so choose according to your taste.

Step 3

Step 4

Place the prepared myeongran in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, carefully flip the myeongran and cook for another 5 minutes at 180°C (350°F). This initial cooking will start to brown the roe.

Step 4

Step 5

If you prefer a crispier texture, you can add an extra 3-5 minutes of cooking at 180°C (350°F), repeating once or twice based on your preference. I personally like it extra crispy, so I added two more rounds of 3 minutes each. This will make the surface slightly puffed and even more appealing.

Step 5

Step 6

Your easy and popular snack, air fryer roasted myeongran, is now ready to enjoy! It’s best served warm, so dig in right away!
