Adorable Sausage Heart Pancake
Cute Heart Pancakes Made with Cheonhajangsa Sausage: Perfect for Lunchbox Decoration!
I’ve made these special and pretty heart-shaped pancakes using Cheonhajangsa sausages, originally bought for the kids’ snacks. They’re simple yet visually appealing, making them a fantastic choice for children’s lunchboxes or even for a special home party menu.
Main Ingredients
- 3-4 Cheonhajangsa sausages (slightly larger size recommended)
- 1 Egg
- A little food coloring (desired color)
Other
- A little sunflower oil
- A little sunflower oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the main ingredient: Cheonhajangsa sausages. For making heart shapes, it’s better to choose slightly plump sausages rather than very small ones. Cut the prepared sausages into 4 equal pieces. (Smaller sausages can be difficult to shape into hearts.)
Step 2
Using the cut sausage pieces, carefully form them into a cute heart shape. To hold the shape, gently connect two pieces of sausage with a toothpick or secure them in your desired configuration.
Step 3
Crack one egg into a bowl and whisk it thoroughly until smooth. Add a very small amount of food coloring in your desired shade to create a vibrantly colored egg wash. (Add the coloring gradually to achieve your preferred hue.)
Step 4
Heat a pan over low heat and add a little sunflower oil. Carefully place the prepared sausage heart shapes onto the pan. Gently pour the colored egg wash into the center of each heart. As the egg mixture starts to cook around the edges, tilt the pan slightly. Once the bottom is golden brown, flip the pancake carefully. Both sides should be beautifully cooked to create attractive heart pancakes.
Step 5
Before the delicious heart pancakes cool down, carefully remove the toothpicks that were used to secure the shape. These finished sausage heart pancakes can be used as a unique decoration for children’s lunchboxes or serve as a delightful side dish. They also make a thoughtful and visually appealing appetizer for entertaining guests. Create a joyful time with these pretty and tasty heart pancakes!
