Adorable Flower-Shaped Fried Egg
Special Flower Fried Egg Recipe Using Pink Sausage
Learn how to make a regular fried egg look beautiful and appealing, perfect for kids or special occasions. Use pink sausage to create a charming flower shape for a delightful plating presentation!
Main Ingredients
- 1 Pink Sausage (or ham of your choice)
- 1 fresh Egg
- Pinch of salt (to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, slice the pink sausage into thick rounds, about 1cm thick. Slicing them too thin might cause the shape to break apart, so aim for a moderate thickness.
Step 2
Take one of the sliced sausage rounds and cut it in half. Then, use a round cookie cutter or a small bottle cap to firmly press into the center of the sausage half. This creates a petal-like indentation where the egg yolk will sit, forming a cute flower shape.
Step 3
Arrange the prepared pink sausage pieces on a frying pan in your desired flower pattern. Make sure the heat is off at this stage, and arrange the shapes directly on the cold pan.
Step 4
Turn the pan to low heat and add a very small amount of cooking oil around the sausage shapes. Be careful not to use too much oil, as it can cause the egg to spread out.
Step 5
Now, carefully crack the egg and gently place it into the center indentation of the sausage flower shape, ensuring the yolk is positioned within the sausage frame. It’s crucial to cook slowly over low heat. Once the egg white is fully set and the yolk is to your liking (runny or jammy), your adorable flower-shaped fried egg is complete. Lightly sprinkle with salt to taste.
