Adorable Bear Cheese & Jam Sandwich
Super Easy Bear Cheese & Jam Sandwich Recipe – Perfect for Dessert or Kids’ Snack!
After trying various sandwich methods, I’m sharing the recipe that turned out to be the most delicious! This is a wonderful recipe to make with your children, allowing them to decorate their own cute sandwiches. You can use either chocolate pens or sunflower seed chocolates to create their faces. Feel free to customize the ingredients as you like, so please read through carefully!
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 Tbsp jam (blueberry, strawberry, etc.)
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 chocolate pen (black or any color)
- 10 sunflower seed chocolates
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start with fresh slices of bread. You’ll need a bear-shaped cookie cutter (or any fun shape cutter you have) to make the sandwich adorable. I got mine from Daiso, but any shape will do! If you don’t have a special cutter, a regular sandwich is still delightful.
Step 2
Generously spread your favorite jam, like blueberry, onto one slice of bread. Leave a small border around the edges to prevent the jam from oozing out when you put the slices together. If you don’t have jam, you can toast the bread with butter until golden brown for a delicious alternative.
Step 3
Place another slice of bread on top of the jam-covered slice. Be careful not to press down too hard, as this can cause the jam to squeeze out the sides. Just a gentle press is enough to make them stick.
Step 4
Now, let’s add the cheese! If your bear shape is large, you might want to cut the cheese separately for the body and the face. Using different colored cheeses for the body and face can add a fun, dimensional look.
Step 5
It’s time to give your bear sandwich a personality! You can use the sunflower seed chocolates for the eyes, nose, and mouth, or get creative with the chocolate pen. You don’t need to score the bread; just press gently, and the chocolate pieces will stick well.
Step 6
The sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh! If you have leftovers for the next day, store them in the refrigerator (due to the cheese). For a delightful twist, dip them in beaten egg seasoned with a pinch of salt, and then pan-fry in oil until golden brown. This turns into a wonderfully savory and delicious treat!
