  • 3 cucumbers
  • 28 pieces of Inari sushi pockets
  • 420g freshly cooked rice
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of baguette
  • 3 slices of cheddar cheese

Seasoning & Other Ingredients

  • 50g sushi vinegar seasoning (sweet vinegar mix)
  • 5g toasted sesame and vegetable mix (for rice seasoning)
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp honey mustard
  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp wasabi (Japanese horseradish)
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the ingredients for the crab stick salad and Inari sushi. Using high-quality, HACCP-certified crab sticks ensures a safe and delicious meal.

Step 1

Step 2

Now, let’s prepare the dressing for the crab stick salad. Choosing mayonnaise and honey mustard with HACCP certification provides extra assurance for hygiene and quality.

Step 2

Step 3

Add the sushi vinegar seasoning and the toasted sesame and vegetable mix to the freshly cooked, warm rice. The sesame and vegetable mix adds a nutty flavor and texture to the rice.

Step 3

Step 4

While the rice is still warm, gently mix it with a rice paddle, using a lifting motion to avoid mashing the grains. Mix until the rice is glossy and evenly combined, then let it cool slightly.

Step 4

Step 5

Wash the fresh cucumbers thoroughly under running water. Trim off the ends of the cucumbers and taste a small piece to check for any bitterness. If they are bitter, trim off a little more from the ends.

Step 5

Step 6

Julienne the cucumbers thinly. Toss the julienned cucumbers with 25g of the sushi vinegar seasoning and let them sit for 10 minutes to pickle. This process helps retain the cucumber’s crispness while drawing out excess moisture.

Step 6

Step 7

Place the pickled cucumbers in a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh bag and gently squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Thoroughly draining the cucumbers is crucial to prevent the salad from becoming watery.

Step 7

Step 8

Cut the crab sticks into approximately 4cm pieces, then gently shred them lengthwise with your fingers. Be careful not to shred them too aggressively, as this can affect the salad’s appearance.

Step 8

Step 9

Add the prepared crab stick salad dressing (mayonnaise, honey mustard, sugar, wasabi, and pepper) to the drained crab sticks and pickled cucumbers,

Step 9

Step 10

and gently toss everything together until well combined, being careful not to mash the ingredients. Your refreshing and savory crab stick salad is now ready!

Step 10

Step 11

Lightly blanch the Inari sushi pockets in boiling water, or simply rinse them under warm running water and gently squeeze out any excess liquid before use. Make sure to remove any seasoning liquid that might be inside the pockets.

Step 11

Step 12

Fill each Inari pocket with the seasoned rice, about 80% full. Overfilling can make it difficult to add the crab stick salad later.

Step 12

Step 13

Generously top the Inari sushi with the crab stick salad. Delicious crab stick Inari sushi, both visually appealing and tasty, is now complete! It’s perfect for an autumn picnic lunchbox.

Step 13

Step 14

Now, let’s make the sandwiches and bruschetta. Prepare 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of baguette, and 3 slices of cheddar cheese. The HACCP certification on the cheddar cheese provides extra peace of mind for its use.

Step 14

Step 15

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on one side of the bread. The melting cheese will help bind the other ingredients together.

Step 15

Step 16

Generously pile the prepared crab stick salad on top of the cheese. A plentiful amount of salad makes the sandwich look even more appetizing.

Step 16

Step 17

Cover with the other slice of bread to complete the delicious crab stick sandwich, packed with filling. It’s a simple yet satisfying meal.

Step 17

Step 18

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each baguette slice. The lightly melted cheese will help secure the crab stick salad to the bread.

Step 18

Step 19

Top generously with the crab stick salad. The combination of the crispy baguette and the creamy crab stick salad creates delightful crab stick bruschetta. These are perfect for a fancy brunch or party!
