Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Bring 400ml of water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, add the sliced fish cakes, followed by 5 tablespoons of Paldo Bibim Sauce (Signature flavor). Stir well to infuse the broth with the sauce’s rich taste.
Step 2
When the sauce starts to bubble, add 300g of rice cakes, the sliced sausage, and the pre-soaked glass noodles. Feel free to add ramen noodles or other vegetables according to your preference.
Step 3
Stir occasionally to prevent the ingredients from sticking. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly and the rice cakes, fish cakes, and sausage are tender. Your delicious Tteokbokki is ready! Garnish with a boiled egg or scallions if desired.
Step 4
Prepare 1 bowl of warm steamed rice. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the rice, 1 tablespoon of Paldo Bibim Sauce (Butter Soy version), and a pinch of black pepper. Stir-fry until the sauce evenly coats the rice grains.
Step 5
Transfer the fried rice to a serving bowl. Place the fresh egg yolk in the center and sprinkle with chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds for a visually appealing and flavorful finish.
Step 6
Just before eating, break the egg yolk and mix it with the rice. The creamy yolk will add a wonderful richness, making this dish even more delightful. Don’t miss this step!
Step 7
To prepare the spicy baby octopus stir-fry, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over high heat. Add the prepared baby octopus, 100g of rice cakes, 50g of diagonally sliced carrots, and 60g of diagonally sliced scallions. Stir-fry quickly until the octopus turns red and is almost cooked.
Step 8
Once the octopus is partially cooked, add 1 tablespoon of gochugaru, 3 tablespoons of Paldo Bibim Sauce (Spicy flavor), 1 teaspoon of sugar, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir-fry vigorously over high heat until all ingredients are well coated with the sauce. Your spicy and flavorful baby octopus stir-fry is complete!
