Microwave Egg Bread
Super Easy Microwave Egg Bread Recipe
We used to have this for a late-night snack and for breakfast on busy mornings when heading to work. Because a whole egg is inside, it’s surprisingly filling! Let’s make this super simple microwave egg bread!
Ingredients- 2 Dinner rolls (like Morning Bread)
- 2 Eggs (one per roll)
- Pinch of salt
- A little dried parsley for garnish
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Gently cut off the top part of the dinner roll. Then, use your fingers or a spoon to press down the inside of the bread, creating a bowl-like shape. Some people cut the bread out, but pressing it down saves the bread inside and creates a perfect holder for the egg. It turns into a natural cup!
Step 2
Carefully crack one egg into the hollowed-out space of each prepared roll. Be mindful that large eggs might cause the whites to overflow. Using medium or small-sized eggs is recommended to prevent spillage. Adjust the egg size as needed.
Step 3
Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the egg for seasoning, and then add a dash of dried parsley for a touch of flavor and color. The most crucial step here is to gently break the yolk with a fork or toothpick. Breaking the yolk ensures the egg cooks evenly and results in a creamier texture.
Step 4
Place the prepared egg bread into the microwave and cook for about 2 minutes. This will cook the egg and warm the bread. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave’s power. And just like that, your delicious microwave egg bread is ready!
