Apple Kale Juice
Making an Aronia Apple Kale Juice for a Fresh Morning
To welcome the new year, I’ve decided to incorporate more vegetables into my mornings. Today, we’re making an Aronia Apple Kale Juice. It’s quick to blend on busy mornings, surprisingly filling, and refreshingly delicious!
Ingredients- 7 fresh kale leaves
- 1 apple
- 1 teaspoon aronia powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 400ml water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, soak the kale leaves in a vinegar and water solution (about 2 tablespoons of vinegar in 500ml of water) for 5 minutes. This helps to thoroughly clean any dirt or residue from the leaves.
Step 2
After 5 minutes, carefully discard the vinegar water and rinse the kale leaves thoroughly under running clean water to remove any remaining vinegar or impurities. Gently shake off excess water.
Step 3
Wash the apple thoroughly and remove its core and seeds. You can leave the peel on for extra nutrients, or peel it if you prefer.
Step 4
Add the prepared apple and the washed kale leaves to your blender or food processor. You can add them in batches if your blender is small.
Step 5
Next, add 1 teaspoon of aronia powder. This antioxidant-rich ingredient will add a wonderful color and depth of flavor.
Step 6
Pour in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice for a bright, zesty kick that balances the flavors and adds a boost of Vitamin C.
Step 7
For a touch of sweetness and enhanced flavor, add 1 tablespoon of honey. It’s a natural sweetener that complements the fruits and vegetables beautifully.
Step 8
Finally, add 400ml of cold water to help everything blend smoothly. You can adjust the amount of water to achieve your desired consistency.
Step 9
Secure the lid on your blender and blend until the mixture is completely smooth and free of any chunks. You’re aiming for a vibrant, silky green juice.
Step 10
And there you have it! Your fresh and healthy Apple Kale Juice is ready to enjoy. Pour into a glass and savor this revitalizing drink – a perfect way to start your day feeling energized!
