Sweet Potato Cheese Puree Ingredients

  • 250g Sweet Potato
  • 250g Milk
  • 1 slice Baby Cheese

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare 1 sweet potato (approx. 250g), 250g milk, and 1 slice of baby cheese. Having all ingredients measured out beforehand will make the cooking process smoother.

Step 1

Step 2

Peel the prepared sweet potato and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Place the sweet potato in a steamer and steam until very tender. It should be easily pierced with a fork. You can also boil or bake the sweet potato, but steaming helps preserve its natural flavor and nutrients.

Step 2

Step 3

Mash the steamed sweet potato or place it in a blender. Add an equal amount of milk (250g) to the cooked sweet potato. Matching the ratio of sweet potato to milk at 1:1 will create a puree with a texture as smooth and rich as custard cream. You can adjust the amount of milk based on your baby’s preferred consistency.

Step 3

Step 4

Transfer the sweet potato and milk to a blender and blend until smooth. If you don’t have a blender, you can also use a fork or a potato masher to achieve a smooth consistency. For babies starting on pureed foods, blending it very finely is ideal. For babies in later stages, you can leave some texture by mashing it slightly coarser.

Step 4

Step 5

Add 1 slice of baby cheese to the smooth sweet potato puree. Gently heat and stir to help the cheese melt and incorporate fully. If the sweet potato is still warm enough, you can simply stir the cheese in without heating. The cheese will add a wonderful creaminess and depth of flavor.

Step 5

Step 6

Your ‘Sweet Potato Cheese Puree’ is ready, boasting a delightful sweet aroma and cheesy richness! This recipe yields approximately 3 servings. Serve it as a baby food or as a satisfying snack for your child. We recommend pairing it with finely julienned apple and boiled chicken breast tenderloin. For firm fruits like apples, slicing them into thin strips makes them easier for babies to eat.
