Main Ingredients- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 Tbsp Salt (preferably seasoned salt)
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Handful Carrots (finely minced)
- 1/2 Scallion (white part, finely minced)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, crack open 4 fresh eggs. Pour in 150ml of cold water. Add 1/2 tablespoon of seasoned salt and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar. Gently whisk everything together until well combined, being careful not to create too many bubbles. Use chopsticks or a whisk to ensure the yolks and whites are thoroughly mixed.
Step 2
Wash the carrots thoroughly and peel them. Mince them into very small cubes or grate them finely. Finely chop the white parts of the scallion. Add these finely minced vegetables to the egg mixture and stir gently to distribute them evenly.
Step 3
Prepare a steamer by adding water to a pot or steamer. Place the bowl containing the egg mixture onto the steamer. Cover the top of the bowl tightly with heat-resistant plastic wrap to prevent condensation from dripping in and to ensure even cooking. You can place a lid on top of the plastic wrap for added security. Steam over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. This indicates that the steamed egg is perfectly cooked.
