The ‘[Buyer’s Burden] Series,’ which cooks convenient instant meals with just water, is back! This time, we’ve added glass noodles and fish cakes to ‘Jaws Tteokbokki’ to make it a hearty and satisfying meal. 🙂

Main Ingredients

  • GS convenience store Jaws Tteokbokki 1 pack (standard kit)

  • 1 sheet of fish cake, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 stalk of green onion (approx. 42g), cut into large pieces
  • 40g dried glass noodles, soaked in water for about 15 minutes

Optional Toppings (Flavor Boost!)

  • A pinch of commercial garlic flakes
  • A pinch of dried parsley flakes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, pick up a pack of ‘Jaws Tteokbokki’ from your nearby GS convenience store. This kit contains the secret to its delicious spicy and sweet flavor.

Prepare the glass noodles, which will add a wonderful texture. Soak the dried glass noodles in cold water for about 15 minutes beforehand. This will help them cook to a tender consistency along with the rice cakes.

Pour in the spicy and sweet sauce included in the Jaws Tteokbokki kit. Don’t skimp on this – it’s the heart of the flavor!

Mix the rice cakes and sauce well, then reduce the heat to medium. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the sauce coats the rice cakes evenly and is well absorbed.

Add the pre-soaked glass noodles to the tteokbokki pan. Stir everything together so the noodles cook evenly with the rice cakes.
