  • 1.5 Tbsp Cherry Kool-Aid powder
  • 1 can (355ml) Cola
  • Ice cubes
  • Hot water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

To make a delightful and sweet Cherry Coke, we naturally need a cherry-flavored component! Instead of fresh cherries, I’m using ‘Kool-Aid Cherry Flavor,’ the secret ingredient for that authentic Cherry Coke taste. The price difference between online and offline for Kool-Aid isn’t significant, so if it’s hard to find in your local store, ordering online is a convenient option. I purchased mine from a physical store.

Step 1

Step 2

Before using the Kool-Aid powder, it’s crucial to mix it well. When you first receive it, the powder might be clumped, so shake the container thoroughly to ensure an even distribution. This step guarantees a smooth flavor without any powdery bits.

Step 2

Step 3

In your serving cup, add 1.5 tablespoons of the Kool-Aid Cherry powder. Next, pour in a small amount of hot water and stir until the powder is completely dissolved. Using hot water helps the powder dissolve much more easily, so keep that in mind.

Step 3

Step 4

There are two methods I tried for making Cherry Coke. The first involves adding only cola to the dissolved Kool-Aid mixture. The second method is to fill about 1/3 of the cup with water and then top it off with cola. After trying both, I found the second method, using both water and cola, to be much closer to the Cherry Coke flavor I remembered and tasted significantly better!

Step 4

Step 5

Now, pour the chilled cola into the prepared Kool-Aid base. As soon as the cola mixes in, you’ll see a beautiful red, fizzy beverage forming. Doesn’t it look incredibly refreshing just by looking at it?
