Super Easy Yukjeon (Pan-Fried Beef) with an Air Fryer
Yukjeon for Toddlers and Kids, Air Fryer Cooking
Making Yukjeon is surprisingly easy! You can make it in the air fryer without flipping each piece individually, making it incredibly convenient. Enjoy this delicious Korean-style pan-fried beef with a crispy exterior and tender interior.
Ingredients- 100mL Frying powder (approx. 2/5 cup)
- 2 Fresh eggs
- Herb salt (to taste)
- 200g Beef (thinly sliced for bulgogi)
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Yukjeon seems more involved than it is, and the frequent flipping on a frying pan can be a deterrent. Making it in the air fryer has been a game-changer – incredibly simple!
Step 2
To eliminate any gamey smell from the eggs and enhance flavor, I’ve seasoned the egg wash with herb salt. While pepper is typically used for beef, today I’ve opted for herb salt in the egg mixture for a more convenient seasoning.
Step 3
If your beef has a lot of excess moisture, gently pat it dry with paper towels. Next, coat both sides of the beef evenly with frying powder. Then, dip the coated beef into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully covered. Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper, place the egg-coated beef on top, and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Cook at 140°C (285°F) for 8 minutes. You’ll find it’s perfectly cooked without needing to flip!
Step 4
As a side note, the ‘DaDanda Air Fryer Ultimate Recipe’ book also includes a recipe for stir-fried beef and bean sprouts, which could be a great addition to your meal.
