[Baby Food Recipe] Easy Marinated Pork Neck Roast with Baby Pear Juice

Sweet & Savory Marinated Pork Neck Roast for Babies

Here’s a special dish for your baby using pork neck, often on sale at the supermarket! Instead of grating onion or pear yourself for the marinade, try using readily available baby pear juice for a simpler yet delicious result. This recipe creates tender, flavorful pork neck that your little one will love. Marinating it overnight ensures the flavors penetrate deeply and the meat becomes extra tender, perfect for baby consumption.

Recipe Info

  • Category : Main dish
  • Ingredient Category : Pork
  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Grilled / Roasted
  • Servings : 3 servings
  • Cooking Time : More than 2 hours
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Ingredients

  • Pork neck 400g
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 pouch Baby Pear Juice (approx. 100ml)
  • 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce (for seasoning)
  • 2 Tbsp Cooking Wine (Mirin or similar)
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • Pinch of Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, finely grate or blend half an onion. Using a blender or grater will make this easier.

Step 1

Step 2

Pour one pouch of baby pear juice into the grated onion. (The pear juice pouch I used contained 100ml.)

Step 2

Step 3

Add 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 4 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, and a pinch of black pepper to create the marinade. You can adjust the amount of soy sauce based on your baby’s age and taste preferences.

Step 3

Step 4

Place the 400g of pork neck into the prepared marinade. If the meat is thick, scoring it lightly with a knife will help the marinade penetrate better and cook more evenly.

Step 4

Step 5

Toss the pork neck to ensure it’s fully coated in the marinade. It’s important that the marinade evenly coats the entire piece of meat.

Step 5

Step 6

Transfer the marinated pork neck to an airtight container and refrigerate for a full day to let it marinate. While 4-5 hours is acceptable if you’re short on time, marinating overnight will make the meat significantly more tender, which is ideal for babies.

Step 6

Step 7

Heat a pan over medium-low heat and cook the marinated pork neck until done. Be mindful of the heat, as the sugars in the marinade can cause it to burn easily. Cook gently, turning occasionally.

Step 7

Step 8

Once cooked, cut the pork neck into bite-sized pieces for your baby. And there you have it – a tender and delicious marinated pork neck roast for your little one!
