This is a simple yet incredibly appetizing cucumber salad that will surely awaken your taste buds. Let’s make it together!
Main Ingredients- 2 cucumbers
- 1/2 onion
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
This cucumber and onion salad is a fantastic side dish, boasting a delightful sweet and sour flavor that pairs wonderfully with any main course. Make it easily and enjoy it for a long time.

Step 2
First, thoroughly wash the 2 cucumbers. Cut them in half lengthwise, then slice them into half-moon shapes about 0.5 cm thick and place them in a large bowl. For the 1/2 onion, you can slice it according to your preference. If you enjoy the onion’s sweetness, slice it a bit thicker; if you find its pungency strong, slice it as thinly as possible into slivers and add it to the bowl with the cucumbers.

Step 3
Now, let’s prepare the delicious seasoning! To the bowl with the cucumbers and onions, add 2 teaspoons of gochujang, 1 teaspoon of gochugaru, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of vinegar. You can adjust the amount of vinegar based on your preference for a tangier taste.

Step 4
The gochugaru adds both color and a pleasant spiciness. Add 1 teaspoon and mix it in to ensure the seasoning is well combined.

Step 5
Finally, add 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds for a nutty aroma and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to season. Now, gently mix everything together with your hands. Be careful not to mix too vigorously, as this can make the cucumbers mushy.

Step 6
There you have it! Your wonderfully sweet and sour cucumber and onion salad is ready in no time. This delicious side dish will make your dining table look and taste even more appealing.
