  • 2 Tbsp warm water
  • 1/2 tsp English mustard
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce

Wash all the vegetables thoroughly and julienne them into strips about 0.5 cm thick and roughly finger-length. Slice the ham into bite-sized pieces. For the ham, you can lightly blanch it in hot water or pan-fry it for enhanced flavor and texture.

Prepare a wide, shallow dish with warm water. Briefly dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until it becomes soft and pliable – be careful not to oversoak, as it might tear. Lay the softened wrapper flat. Arrange your chosen fillings (vegetables, ham, imitation crab sticks) in the center. Fold the bottom edge over the filling, then fold in the sides, and finally, roll it up tightly from the bottom. Don’t roll it too tightly, or it might break.
