Baby Tteokgalbi: Soft and Delicious Tteokgalbi for Your Baby

Today, I made ‘Baby Tteokgalbi,’ a perfect side dish for baby food for babies starting solids. It’s easy to make and great for freezing, making it a highly recommended baby food option! Let’s get started with making Baby Tteokgalbi. 😀

Recipe Info

  • Category : Main dish
  • Ingredient Category : Meat
  • Occasion : Baby food
  • Cooking : Grilled / Roasted
  • Servings : More than 6 servings
  • Cooking Time : Within 30 minutes
  • Difficulty : Beginner

Main Ingredients

  • 100g minced beef
  • 100g minced pork
  • 30g baby vegetable cubes (or finely minced vegetables)
  • 30g rice flour (wheat flour or starch can also be used)
  • 3g minced garlic

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

*For babies who can have a little seasoning, you can add baby soy sauce to taste.
*The ratio of beef to pork can be adjusted according to your preference. You can make it with just beef, but adding a little pork makes the texture softer.
*Feel free to use any vegetables you have in your refrigerator. I used 10g of zucchini, 10g of carrot, and 10g of onion.

Step 1

Step 2

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and start kneading. If your ingredients are frozen, take them out at room temperature to thaw before you begin. I didn’t drain the blood from the meat separately, but if you prefer, you can lightly pat it dry with paper towels before using. 🙂

Step 2

Step 3

The more you knead the mixture, the chewier and more cohesive the tteokgalbi will become. Knead it well to ensure it binds together nicely and develops a pleasant chewy texture.

Step 3

Step 4

Divide the mixture into portions suitable for one baby serving. Making individual portions makes it easy to take out and cook one at a time. 🙂 Shape them into round tteokgalbi patties or make them into stick shapes for easier handling. Keep the thickness under 2cm; if they are too thick, they may not cook through completely.

Step 4

Step 5

I’m going to freeze 3 of the patties for later. Wrap each one individually with plastic wrap, place them in a zip-top bag, and store them in the freezer. Taking out one at a time to cook is very convenient! 🙂

Step 5

Step 6

I cooked them in an air fryer at 160℃ for 10 minutes on each side, for a total of 20 minutes. Cooking times and temperatures may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model. Adjust the temperature and time as needed for your specific appliance. 🙂

Step 6

Step 7

Your baby tteokgalbi is ready with a wonderfully soft texture! Even without any added seasoning, the natural flavors are delicious and tender, making them perfect for babies. 🙂
