No Flour, No Oven Rice Burger Recipe

Craving pizza but want something different? I made pizza using rice instead of flour! It’s a delightful and healthy twist. ❤

Main Ingredients

  • 1 bowl of cooked rice
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/4 carrot
  • 1 handful of perilla leaves (kkaennip)
  • 6 Vienna sausages
  • Plenty of pizza cheese (about two handfuls)
  • A little parsley

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 5 Tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, take 1 bowl of warm cooked rice and mix it with 2 tablespoons of water. This helps the rice bind together more smoothly. Place parchment paper on a baking tray and spread the rice as thinly as possible to form a pizza crust shape. Then, place this rice crust in your air fryer and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes. It will become golden brown and crispy, similar to a rice cracker or ‘nurungji’.

Next, prepare the delicious toppings. Finely dice the 1/4 onion and 1/4 carrot. Slice the 6 Vienna sausages into bite-sized pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced vegetables and sliced sausages and sauté until the vegetables are translucent and the sausages are lightly golden.

Once your crispy rice crust is ready, it’s time to assemble the pizza! Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rice crust, just like you would with a regular pizza sauce. Arrange the sautéed vegetable and sausage mixture generously over the sauce. Finally, top it off with plenty of pizza cheese. Don’t be shy with the cheese – it makes for a wonderfully stringy and satisfying pizza! Place the assembled rice pizza back into the air fryer and bake at 180°C (356°F) for another 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.

Your amazing rice pizza is now ready to come out of the air fryer! Carefully remove it from the air fryer and sprinkle a little fresh parsley on top for a touch of color and freshness. Enjoy your delicious, healthy, and satisfying rice pizza that’s ready to be devoured! ❤Complete❤
