Juicy Pork Ribs Recipe Your Kids Will Love
Perfect Pork Ribs for Kids’ Meals & Baby Food
Introducing a pork ribs recipe that everyone from kids to adults will adore! These ribs are crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. This recipe features two flavor options: one seasoned with salt and the other with a store-bought steak sauce. Meat is always a winner! The children really enjoyed them.
Main Ingredients- Pork ribs 900g
- Cooking wine (Miryang) 1 Tbsp
- Whole peppercorns 1 Tbsp
- Store-bought steak sauce 3 Tbsp
- Herb salt 0.5 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare about 900g of pork ribs. (We used a portion from a 1.2kg pack that fit well in the oven.) Since one child typically eats 2-3 ribs, it’s helpful to gauge the amount by the number of ribs rather than just the weight. Soak the pork ribs in cold water for 3-4 hours to remove any blood. This step is crucial for eliminating gamey odors and ensuring a tender, delicious result.
Step 2
Place the pork ribs in a steamer or pressure cooker. Add whole peppercorns, cooking wine (Miryang), and bay leaves if you have them. If using a steamer, add water, cover, and steam for 35 minutes. If using a pressure cooker, steam for the same duration. After steaming, rinse the ribs lightly under running water to remove any excess marinade and peppercorns.
Step 3
Divide the pork ribs into two portions and season them separately. Sprinkle herb salt evenly over one half, and coat the other half with store-bought steak sauce. If you don’t have steak sauce, you can create a similar sauce by mixing ketchup, corn syrup, and tonkatsu sauce and simmering it. While Worcestershire sauce offers a deeper flavor, using tonkatsu sauce mixed with other common pantry ingredients can yield delicious results. Place the seasoned ribs in a preheated oven at 185°C (365°F) and bake for 7 minutes, just long enough for the sauce to penetrate the meat. Be careful not to overcook; aim for a light bake.
