  • 1 Tbsp Oyster sauce (enhances umami!)
  • 3 Tbsp Ketchup (the base for sweet and sour flavor)
  • 1 Tbsp Sweet chili sauce (adds a subtle spiciness and flavor)
  • A pinch of sesame seeds (essential for nuttiness!)

Cooking Instructions

First, prepare the vegetables. Remove the seeds from 2 bell peppers and 1/2 onion, then chop them into large, bite-sized pieces (about 1.5-2 cm). Finely chop 2 Korean green chili peppers. If you prefer less spice, remove the seeds.

It’s more appetizing to score the Vienna sausages nicely. Using a knife, make 2-3 diagonal cuts. You can create various patterns like stars or circles, depending on your preference. Briefly blanching them in boiling water will result in an even chewier texture.

Heat a pan with a little cooking oil. Add the scored Vienna sausages first and stir-fry over medium-low heat until lightly browned. As the sausage surface cooks and releases some fat, its flavor will develop. Once the sausages are partially cooked, add all the prepared vegetables (bell peppers, onion, green chilies) and stir-fry together.
