- 30g unsalted butter
- 2 tsp coconut flour
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 30g unsalted butter
- 2 tsp coconut flour
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the shrimp. Remove the tails and finely mince them using a knife. Try not to mash them completely; aim for a texture where the shrimp’s natural bite is still slightly present.
Step 2
Clean the button mushrooms, trimming off any tough ends. Finely chop them, similar to how you prepared the shrimp. This will help infuse the patties with the mushrooms’ delightful aroma.
Step 3
Combine the finely minced shrimp and mushrooms in a bowl. Gently mix them together to ensure they are evenly distributed before proceeding.
Step 4
To the shrimp and mushroom mixture, add the fresh egg. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper according to your preference. Mix everything together gently with a spatula or spoon until well combined.
Step 5
Add 2 teaspoons of coconut flour to help bind the mixture. Coconut flour is excellent for achieving a good consistency without adding carbs and helps the patties hold their shape. Adjust the amount if needed to achieve a texture that can be rolled into balls.
Step 6
Now, shape the patties. Take a portion of the mixture and form it into your desired shape, such as small, flattened discs or small balls. Bite-sized patties are easy to cook and enjoy.
Step 7
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add 30g of unsalted butter and let it melt, being careful not to let it burn.
Step 8
Once the butter is melted and slightly shimmering, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. The garlic aroma will infuse the butter and enhance the flavor of the patties.
Step 9
Reduce the heat to low. Carefully place the shaped shrimp mushroom patties into the skillet. Cooking on low heat is crucial to ensure the patties cook through evenly without burning on the outside.
Step 10
Flip the patties frequently to prevent sticking and ensure even browning. Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown on all sides and cooked through. You can check for doneness by inserting a skewer; it should come out clean.
Step 11
Arrange the cooked shrimp mushroom patties on a plate. Your delicious low-carb, high-fat shrimp mushroom patties are ready to be enjoyed! Serve warm.
