Soft Banana Formula Bread for Babies

As I wanted to raise my baby healthily with a meal plan free of artificial seasonings, I found myself making snacks from scratch too! This recipe is perfect for those times you want a nutritious and easy homemade treat for your little one.

Recipe Info

  • Category : Bread
  • Ingredient Category : Fruits
  • Occasion : Baby food
  • Cooking : Grilled / Roasted
  • Servings : 2 servings
  • Cooking Time : Within 30 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 slice of baby cheese
  • 160g formula powder (approx. 4 adult tablespoons)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, crack 2 eggs into a bowl. Whisk them vigorously with a whisk until light and frothy. This step helps to reduce any eggy smell and makes the bread fluffier.

Step 1

Step 2

Add 1 ripe banana to the egg mixture. Mash the banana thoroughly using a spoon or fork until it’s smooth and there are no large lumps. The mashed banana will add natural sweetness and a wonderful aroma.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, add 160g of your baby’s regular formula powder and mix well. If you don’t have a measuring spoon, this is about 4 tablespoons for adults. The formula will add a delicious, slightly nutty flavor to the bread.

Step 3

Step 4

Tear 1 slice of baby cheese into small pieces with your hands and add it to the batter. Gently stir with a spatula or spoon until all ingredients are evenly combined. The cheese will melt, contributing to the bread’s softness and a hint of savory taste.

Step 4

Step 5

Pour the batter into silicone molds or muffin cups. Since the bread will puff up as it bakes, it’s best to fill the molds only about two-thirds full. If you don’t have molds, you can simply scoop the batter directly onto your baking sheet – it’s quick and easy! This makes perfectly sized treats for your baby.

Step 5

Step 6

Bake in an air fryer preheated to 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can use a conventional oven at the same temperature for 15-20 minutes. Baking time may vary slightly depending on your appliance, so check for doneness with a skewer. Baking at a lower temperature for a slightly longer time will also result in a moist texture.

Step 6

Step 7

Your delicious baby banana formula bread is ready! Let it cool slightly before serving this wonderful homemade snack to your baby.
