Key Ingredients

  • 4 Morning Buns
  • 2 slices Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 Tbsp Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 3 Tbsp Melted Butter

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare 4 morning buns. Make 3 shallow cuts on the top surface of each bun with a knife. Be sure not to cut all the way through to the bottom; leave about 1 cm intact. This scoring allows the butter and cheese to seep into the bun, enhancing the flavor.

Step 1

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons of melted butter with the 1/2 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes. Mix well to create a fragrant parsley butter sauce. The aromatic parsley will blend beautifully with the butter, enriching the taste of the morning buns.

Step 2

Step 3

Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and place the scored morning buns on it. Generously brush the parsley butter sauce over the tops and into the cuts of each bun. Preheat your air fryer to 170°C (340°F) and then bake for 7 minutes, until the buns are lightly golden brown.

Step 3

Step 4

After 7 minutes, remove the air fryer basket. Place one slice of cheddar cheese on top of two of the toasted buns. Return the buns with cheese to the air fryer and bake for another 5 minutes at 180°C (355°F). The cheese will melt, creating a wonderful gooey topping.

Step 4

Step 5

If the cheese puffs up too much during baking, gently poke the center with a chopstick or fork to help it spread evenly. This prevents the cheese from burning and ensures it melts beautifully.

Step 5

Step 6

For the remaining two buns, if you prefer them extra crispy, bake them for an additional 2-3 minutes at 180°C (355°F) without cheese. You can adjust the crispiness according to your preference.

Step 6

Step 7

Enjoy both versions: the cheesy, melty buns and the extra crispy ones. Tearing into the warm buns is part of the fun! They are best enjoyed immediately while still warm.

Step 7

Step 8

Enjoy your delicious, simply made butter and cheese toasted morning buns! This is a wonderfully easy yet satisfying snack.
