First, let’s prepare the pancake batter. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 egg, 1/2 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Whisk or stir with a spatula until the mixture is smooth and lump-free, resembling a soft batter.

It’s important to mix the batter thoroughly to avoid lumps, ensuring a smooth and delicious pancake. Don’t overmix; just stir until the dry ingredients are fully incorporated. A smooth, flowing batter is ideal. Set this aside for a moment.

Now, let’s make the sweet apple compote. Wash the 200g of mini apples thoroughly. Slice them thinly into julienne strips, keeping the peels on. Using the peels will give the compote a beautiful color once cooked.
