We’ve made delicious roasted sweet potatoes easily and conveniently using an air fryer. Enjoy the incredibly sweet and tender texture!
Ingredients- 4 Sweet Potatoes (Honey Sweet variety recommended)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, the key to perfect roasted sweet potatoes is to select good quality ones. Thoroughly wash 4 honey sweet potatoes, ensuring they have smooth skin and no blemishes. Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper. This makes cleanup much easier and prevents the natural sugars and moisture released from the sweet potatoes from sticking to the bottom. Arrange the washed sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they have a little space between them and are not overlapping.
Step 2
Now it’s time to roast your sweet potatoes to perfection. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Place the prepared sweet potatoes in the basket and roast for 45 minutes. The 180°C temperature is ideal for cooking the sweet potatoes evenly on the inside while achieving a beautiful, slightly caramelized exterior.
Step 3
To ensure they cook evenly and don’t burn, it’s important to check on them halfway through. After about 20 minutes of cooking, carefully open the air fryer. Using tongs or an oven mitt, gently flip each sweet potato over. This step is crucial for ensuring that all sides are exposed to the heat, leading to a more uniform and delicious roast.
Step 4
After flipping the sweet potatoes, close the air fryer lid and continue to roast at 180°C (350°F) for the remaining 25 minutes. Once the total 45 minutes of cooking time is complete, your sweet potatoes should have a wonderfully inviting color and aroma, reminiscent of those baked over an open fire.
Step 5
Voila! Your air fryer roasted sweet potatoes are ready. They should be slightly chewy on the outside and incredibly soft and sweet on the inside, melting in your mouth. Enjoy them while they are warm to experience the full burst of honey-like sweetness. They make a perfect snack, especially when paired with a warm glass of milk or coffee!
