First, prepare your Tteokbokki rice cakes. If they are frozen, let them thaw at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes until they become soft and pliable. Once softened, carefully thread 5 rice cakes onto each skewer. Leaving a little space between the cakes on the skewer will make them easier to cook.

Now it’s time to cook the rice cakes. Heat 1 teaspoon of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Place the skewered rice cakes in the pan and pan-fry them, flipping them occasionally, until they are golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.
