Simple and Delicious Homemade Potato Egg Sandwich

Here’s a recipe for a delicious potato egg sandwich that anyone can easily make using a generous amount of egg salad. You can create a savory and moist egg mayo sandwich without any special ingredients. It’s perfect for a hearty meal or snack!

Recipe Info

  • Category : Bread
  • Ingredient Category : Processed foods
  • Occasion : Lunchbox
  • Cooking : Others
  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 5 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Essential Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 Tbsp strawberry jam
  • 3 Tbsp potato egg salad (generous mayonnaise)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a hearty potato egg salad to fill your sandwich generously. Mix in your favorite ingredients such as cucumber, imitation crab meat, boiled eggs, boiled potatoes, ham, minced onion, and finely chopped cabbage. Add plenty of mayonnaise to create a creamy and savory egg mayo salad. You can use any type of bread: sliced bread, morning rolls, ciabatta, or baguette all work well.

Step 1

Step 2

Take one slice of bread and spread a thin layer of strawberry jam on one side. The sweet strawberry jam will enhance the sandwich’s flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Generously pile the prepared potato egg salad onto the bread slice with strawberry jam. Filling it generously makes it even more delicious.

Step 3

Step 4

Optionally, you can spread ketchup on the inside of the other bread slice. While I only used strawberry jam this time, adding the sweet and tangy ketchup will offer a different delightful taste.

Step 4

Step 5

Place the second slice of bread on top of the salad-covered slice to complete your delicious sandwich!

Step 5

Step 6

Finish the sandwich as you prefer. If preparing for a lunchbox, trim the crusts for easier eating. The trimmed bread crusts can be baked until crispy to make delicious rusks!

Step 6

Step 7

While enjoying plenty of salad on its own is great, especially in warmer weather, making it into a sandwich provides a more substantial and special meal. I made a large batch of salad and used half for sandwiches, then fried the rest into delicious croquettes! The potato egg sandwich is delicious no matter how you enjoy it, and it’s so simple, so give it a try! (For the salad recipe used: https://blog.naver.com/1_in_/223506632412)
