Main Ingredients

  • 1 small can of chili tuna
  • 1/4 zucchini
  • 1/4 carrot
  • A small amount of leftover bell pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 4 perilla leaves

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds to taste

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the vegetables for your bibimbap. Feel free to chop them according to your preference. I julienned the carrot, zucchini, and perilla leaves, and cut the leftover bell pepper into pieces suitable for stir-frying.

Step 1

Step 2

Lightly sauté the carrot and zucchini in a preheated pan without oil or seasoning. Cooking carrots this way is said to improve their absorption rate in the body compared to eating them raw. Since carrots are also eaten raw, you don’t need to cook them until fully tender.

Step 2

Step 3

To make your bibimbap visually appealing, it’s best to sauté each vegetable separately. This layering technique adds beauty to the final presentation, proving that a dish that looks good, tastes good!

Step 3

Step 4

Open the can of chili tuna and press it firmly with paper towels to remove excess oil and moisture. This step helps to reduce the greasiness of the tuna bibimbap, resulting in a cleaner, more pleasant taste.

Step 4

Step 5

Place about half a bowl of rice in your serving bowl. Then, artfully arrange the prepared colorful vegetables around the rice. Plating your bibimbap beautifully is part of the fun of enjoying this dish.

Step 5

Step 6

No bibimbap is complete without a fried egg! Cook an egg to your liking and place it on top. Finally, add a generous amount of the prepared chili tuna. Your delicious and nutritious tuna bibimbap is ready! For an extra touch of flavor, drizzle with a little sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
