Seasoning for Cucumber Salad

  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce (anchovy or sand lance)
  • 1/2 Tbsp plum extract
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (toasted or crushed)

First, wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water. Use a vegetable brush to gently scrub the bumpy skin.
