  • 1 bowl of warm rice
  • 1 pack of spicy seasoned cockle bibimbap sauce
  • 2 Tbsp chives, chopped (about 1cm length)
  • 2 Tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (approx. 1 tsp)
  • 1 Korean chili pepper, finely chopped (adjust to spice preference)
  • 1 fresh egg yolk
  • A small handful of fresh bean sprouts

Cooking Instructions

Start by preparing the cockle and king oyster mushroom pouch. Carefully cut open a corner of the pouch with scissors and drain out all the savory broth. Discard the broth as this step helps to concentrate the natural flavor of the cockles.

To the drained cockles, add the entire pack of spicy seasoned cockle bibimbap sauce and about 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil for a rich aroma. Gently mix everything together with a spatula or spoon, being careful not to mash the cockles. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed for the best flavor.

Now, it’s time to add the fresh vegetables. Combine the chopped chives, minced green onions, minced garlic, and the finely chopped Korean chili pepper (for a pleasant kick) with the seasoned cockles. Mix gently again, ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated without being crushed. The vibrant colors will make the dish even more appealing!

Serve the warm rice in a bowl. Generously spoon the prepared cockle and vegetable mixture over the rice.
