Main Ingredients- 2 servings of ramen noodles
- 1/4 cucumber
- 1 egg
Bibim Sauce Ingredients- 2/3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp cider (or Sprite/7-Up for sweetness and flavor!)
- 1 Tbsp vinegar (for a refreshing tang!)
- 1/2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2/3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp cider (or Sprite/7-Up for sweetness and flavor!)
- 1 Tbsp vinegar (for a refreshing tang!)
- 1/2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, combine all the bibim sauce ingredients: Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, gochujang, sugar, cider, vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, and sesame oil. Stir well with a spoon until the sauce is smooth and well-blended. The cider and vinegar will add a wonderful depth of flavor.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or slightly less than the package instructions, to achieve a perfectly chewy texture. Drain the noodles immediately in a colander, then rinse them thoroughly under cold running water. This step cools them down and makes the noodles firm and delightfully springy.
Step 3
Place the drained, chewy ramen noodles into a mixing bowl. Add a generous amount of the prepared bibim sauce. Gently mix the sauce with the noodles using your hands or chopsticks, ensuring every strand is coated. For an extra layer of texture, add thinly sliced cucumber. Top with a halved hard-boiled egg for a visually appealing and satisfying finish. Enjoy your delicious homemade bibim ramen!
