  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon guk-ganjang (Korean soup soy sauce)
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 600ml water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

First, prepare the fresh green onion. Wash it thoroughly, remove any outer layers, then cut it in half lengthwise. Afterward, chop it into manageable 4-5cm pieces.

Next, prepare the egg for a silky texture in the broth. Crack the egg into a small bowl, whisk it gently to break the yolk and remove any stringy bits (alkkun), and beat it until smooth.
