Refreshing Watermelon Juice (Thai-Style ‘Taeng Mo Ban’)
Transform Bland Watermelon into Delicious Thai Watermelon Juice (‘Taeng Mo Ban’)
Craving the refreshing ‘Taeng Mo Ban’ I enjoyed during my trip to Thailand, I decided to make this wonderful watermelon juice. It’s a perfect way to enjoy even less-than-perfect watermelons!
Ingredients- Watermelon: Approximately 2 fist-sized pieces (Choose sweet and ripe watermelon)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, carefully cut away the rind and the white pith from the watermelon. Remove any seeds you find and then slice the watermelon flesh into manageable pieces. Pre-seeding will make blending much easier.
Step 2
Place the cut watermelon into a juicer (or blender). If using a juicer, this method extracts only the pure juice, ensuring a smooth texture without any seeds. If using a blender, blend until smooth, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any remaining seeds.
Step 3
Pour the freshly juiced (or strained) watermelon juice into a clean container. Store it in the refrigerator until well chilled. Enjoy its refreshing taste when it’s ice-cold.
Step 4
On a hot summer day, ditch the ice cream and opt for this nutritious and incredibly refreshing watermelon juice! It’s not only a thirst quencher but also a fantastic way to stay hydrated.
