Simple Sausage & Egg McMuffin
Make a Quick McMuffin with Sweet Korean Pancake Bread ♡
So easy and simple, perfect for breakfast!
Ingredients- 2 eggs
- 4 Hotteok (sweet Korean pancake) buns
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, lightly toast the Hotteok buns. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Slice the Hotteok buns in half horizontally and place them cut-side down in the pan. Toast until golden brown and slightly crispy. This adds a wonderful texture and flavor to your McMuffin.
Step 2
While the buns are toasting, let’s prepare the eggs. Crack 2 eggs into a separate non-stick frying pan. Cook them to your preferred doneness – sunny-side up for a runny yolk, or over-easy/hard for a more cooked yolk. You can season them lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
Step 3
Now, for the assembly! Place the cooked fried egg on top of one half of the toasted Hotteok bun. Layer 2 slices of cheddar cheese over the egg. Finally, place the other toasted Hotteok bun half on top to complete your sandwich. Enjoy your delicious homemade McMuffin immediately while it’s warm!
