To ensure cleanliness, add about 1 tablespoon of coarse salt to the sea squirts and gently rub them. Avoid scrubbing too vigorously, as this can diminish their delicate oceanic flavor.

A quick rinse under cool, running water is all that’s needed. Over-rinsing can wash away the sea squirt’s unique aroma and taste, leading to a less flavorful bibimbap.

For the bibimbap’s vegetables, use the fresh sea squirts along with any vegetables you have at home! Prepare ingredients like cucumber, carrot, lettuce, bean sprouts, and other fresh sprouts by washing them thoroughly and cutting them into bite-sized pieces. You don’t need to make a separate sauce; simply use your favorite store-bought gochujang sauce for a quick and delicious meal!
