  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 15 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Essential Ingredients

  • 150g Cabbage (about 1/4 of a medium head, julienned coarsely)
  • 1 Onion (medium size, julienned coarsely)
  • 1 Jinjjamppong instant noodle pack (use noodles and soup base)
  • 3 Tbsp Cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the vegetables. Wash 150g of cabbage and julienne it coarsely. Peel and coarsely julienne 1 medium onion.

Step 1

Step 2

Boil the Jinjjamppong noodles in water for about 1 minute less than the time indicated on the package, so they are cooked al dente. Drain the noodles and set aside. (It’s important not to overcook them as they will be stir-fried further). Do not rinse the cooked noodles with cold water.

Step 2

Step 3

Heat a pan over medium heat and add 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Add the julienned onion and stir-fry until translucent, releasing its aroma.

Step 3

Step 4

Once the onion is slightly softened, add the julienned cabbage and stir-fry until it wilts. Add 1 tablespoon of gochugaru at this stage for a spicy kick and vibrant color.

Step 4

Step 5

When the cabbage is cooked to your liking, add 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce and the entire packet of Jinjjamppong soup base. Stir-fry to combine the ingredients evenly with the sauce. Be mindful of the heat to prevent the noodle soup base from burning.

Step 5

Step 6

Finally, add the prepared al dente noodles to the pan and quickly stir-fry them with the sauce. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 3g of salt to adjust the taste as needed. Once all ingredients are well combined, your delicious Jinjjamppong stir-fried udon is ready!
