  • 1/2 Onion

First, create fragrant green onion oil. Pour a generous amount of cooking oil into a frying pan. Add thinly sliced green onions and stir gently over low heat until fragrant. Be careful not to burn them!

Prepare the vegetables. Slice the carrot and onion into strips similar in length to the squid. Cut the cabbage into bite-sized squares for a satisfying crunch.

Clean and score the squid. Cut the cleaned squid into manageable pieces. Gently make diagonal scores on the surface of the squid with a knife. This helps the sauce penetrate better and makes the squid look more appealing.

Adding the vegetables later helps to prevent excess liquid from forming and keeps them crisp.
