Fresh Homemade Arugula Sandwich
How to Make a Healthy Sandwich with Arugula and Fresh Vegetables
I made a sandwich using arugula that I grew at home! It’s a collaboration of organic tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and aromatic herbs. Eating these fresh and vibrant vegetables fills your body with vitamins. Just looking at the lively green leaves is ‘healing’! This is a very basic yet delightful sandwich.
Ingredients- 2 slices of bread
- 1 tomato
- 3 sprigs of arugula (about a handful)
- A small amount of lettuce
- 1 fried egg
- 1 slice of ham
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s make a sandwich using homegrown arugula and organic tomatoes. It’s a delicious way to enjoy fresh ingredients!
Step 2
Trim and wash the arugula leaves you’ll be using. Gently pat them dry to remove excess water. Keeping the leaves fresh is key for a great sandwich.
Step 3
Prepare the core sandwich ingredients: tomatoes, arugula, and lettuce. Slice the tomatoes and tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. These form the fresh base of your sandwich.
Step 4
Lightly toast the bread slices for a pleasant crunch. Then, layer them with the fried egg, ham, prepared arugula, tomato slices, and lettuce. Finally, top with the second slice of bread to complete the sandwich.
Step 5
Cut the assembled sandwich into a convenient triangular shape. This makes it visually appealing and easier to eat.
