Ingredients

  • 1 pouch Teriyaki-flavored chicken breast
  • 1 pouch chicken breast sausage
  • 80g cabbage
  • 20g carrot
  • 1/3 pack enoki mushrooms
  • 2 eggs
  • A pinch of bonito flakes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the cabbage, which will give our Okonomiyaki its wonderful texture. Wash the cabbage thoroughly and shred it thinly. This ensures a tender yet slightly crisp texture once cooked.

Step 1

Step 2

Next, prepare the carrot. Shred the carrot thinly, similar to the cabbage. This will help it blend well with the other ingredients and make the Okonomiyaki visually appealing.

Step 2

Step 3

Shred the chicken breast sausage into bite-sized pieces. This adds a pleasant chewiness and makes the Okonomiyaki more substantial.

Step 3

Step 4

For the chicken breast, pour the entire contents of the pouch, including the sauce, into a pan. Use your hands to tear the chicken breast into smaller pieces. This allows the sauce to soak in, resulting in moist and flavorful chicken. You can also use a fork or spoon to shred it.

Step 4

Step 5

Now, let’s combine all the ingredients. In a large bowl, add the shredded cabbage, carrot, sausage, and the torn chicken breast. Wash the enoki mushrooms, trim the root ends, and tear them lengthwise into thinner strands before adding them to the bowl. Finally, crack in the two fresh eggs and gently mix everything together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can release too much moisture from the cabbage.

Step 5

Step 6

Lightly grease a preheated pan with olive oil. Spoon portions of the batter onto the pan and flatten them into round shapes. Cook over medium-low heat until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Covering the pan while cooking can help steam the inside, making it more tender. This will result in a crispy exterior and a well-cooked interior.

Step 6

Step 7

Carefully transfer the cooked Okonomiyaki to a serving plate. Drizzle any remaining chicken breast sauce over the top. Garnish with the torn chicken breast pieces and a sprinkle of bonito flakes. Your healthy and delicious Okonomiyaki is now ready to be enjoyed!
