Curry Sauce & Fried Rice Seasoning- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 4 Tbsp cooking oil
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 4 Tbsp cooking oil
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
1-1. Cut the imitation crab sticks into approximately 5 equal lengths, then slice them into your desired bite-sized pieces or shapes. 1-2. (Optional: This recipe includes adding onion and potato for the fried rice, but you can omit them if you prefer to focus on the pure curry flavor. If adding:) Finely chop the onion and potato into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
2-1. In a large bowl, place 2 bowls of warm rice. Crack in 2 eggs and mix thoroughly with chopsticks or a spatula until each grain of rice is coated with the egg mixture. 2-2. Lightly sprinkle salt and pepper over the rice mixture and mix again to season evenly.
Step 3
Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a deep frying pan (Wok) over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced imitation crab sticks and stir-fry lightly until cooked. (Optional: If adding onion and potato, add them now and stir-fry until the vegetables become translucent.) Once the crab sticks are cooked, add the rice coated with the egg mixture and stir-fry, breaking up the rice clumps with a spatula. It’s important to stir-fry the rice until it becomes fluffy and separated.
Step 4
When the rice is sufficiently stir-fried, add 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce around the edges of the pan. As the butter begins to melt, stir everything together to coat the rice grains evenly with the butter and oyster sauce. Continue to stir-fry until the ingredients are well combined and have a appetizing color. Turn off the heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish, and serve. Place the stir-fried crab and rice mixture over warm rice to create a magnificent Crab Stick Curry Rice Bowl!
